She completed her medical degree at King s College London and chose to come to WashU to complete residency, which she considers to be one of the best decisions she has ever made. Following residency, Hawa will complete dual fellowships in cardiac and critical care. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She recently attended the wedding of her co-resident, Lokesh Sharma, in Nepal along Allison Yu, and it was an incredible experience.Kamela (Kam) BaggetteKam has been a clinical nurse coordinator for the Pain Management Center since 2005. In her role as patient advocate, she guides the patients and their families in the referral process as well as providing information on chronic pain treatment modalities. Kam also acts as a physician liaison to promote practice growth and development. As new physicians join the Pain Center, she helps to build relationships with their referring colleagues which emphasizes the attending’s interests and expertise. She is blessed with a very supportive husband, and two talented children. In her spare time she enjoys distance running, biking and swimming. Mike Montana, MD, PhDMike is originally from the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. He has called St. Louis home since 2004 when he came to WashU for medical and graduate school. One of his proudest medical school accomplishments was joining the cast of the inaugural Med School Musical in 2005 (the musical is now in its 15th year). His PhD focused on analgesic drug development. His research and clinical practice focus on improving post-surgical pain management in children and adults. He and his wife, Cindy, an ophthalmologist at WashU, live in the city of St. Louis. Along with their daughter Katie they enjoy visiting St. Louis’ many beautiful parks and the St. Louis Zoo.Anandhalakshmi Varadharajan, MD, MBBSDr. Ana was born and raised in a coastal town Pondicherry, in India. She graduated from medical school in India and moved to St. Louis in 2002. She completed her IM residency at St. Luke’s hospital in Chesterfield, and her Critical Care fellowship at St. Louis University School of Medicine, in the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program at Mercy Hospital. In 2018, Dr. Ana joined Washington University s Department of Critical Care Medicine as an intensivist. She currently resides in Chesterfield with her husband, Rajan, and children, Sri and Akilesh. She enjoys traveling with her family and watching home decoration shows. Interior decoration is her second passion after medicine. In his new role as Director, he will partner with hospital and nursing leadership at Christian Hospital to ensure outstanding clinical care in the intensive care unit. Dr. Haroutounian also serves as Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Dr. Moron-Concepcion joined the department in 2015 and is currently a Professor of Anesthesiology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience.Here you ll find charming neighborhoods, vibrant cultural and culinary scenes, and plenty of fun for nature-lovers and urbanites alike all packed into an incredibly affordable city.
