Bluestone Specialty Chemicals, LLC is a producer specialized in non-ferrous metal compounds, seeking a Managing Director for its plant in Joliet, IL. Will be responsible for the company’s daily management, including development and diversification of the supply chain, defining and implementing growth and sales strategies as well as working with the Plant Manager to decide on CAPEX-projects. Will have final responsibility on the P&L and will report to the Board of Directors as well as negotiate nationally and internationally on purchase and sales agreements. Will also build new sourcing and distribution agreements related to non-ferrous metal-based chemicals, specifically but not limited to Cobalt, Nickel, Molybdenum and Copper. Duties include strategic sourcing; conducting business globally within the United States, Canada, Mexico (NAFTA) and overseas; developing key relationships with clients, suppliers, potential customers, and new potential sourcing channels; and maintaining the strategic relationships with current customers and suppliers, as well as developing new business and strategies for growth.

Must have a master’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Chemical Engineering plus five (5) years of experience in a related position in the non-ferrous metals industry

Experience must include five (5) years: (i) in a senior leadership or executive role with a multi-national corporation in the following countries: USA, Canada, Mexico, or Europe; (ii) strategic sourcing in manufacturing and non-ferrous metals and raw materials; (iii) with price setting, market evaluation, and strategy; and (iv) working with international standards and metal hedging (v) working with P&L.

Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Experience can be concurrent.
