Kapel is the Director Finance/CFO at MegaDelta Capital Advisors LLP, a sub-advisor to Millenna Capital, a Mauritius based investment fund as well as an investment manager of MegaDelta Capital Fund I, a SEBI registered Category II Alternate Investment Fund. He brings in a total work experience of 18+ years with over 14 years of experience in Alternative Asset Management spanning over Fund life cycle from inception to exit. Prior to joining MegaDelta in Oct 2018, he was heading operations and investor servicing for Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors for 3 years managing operations of 9 Credit Funds worth ~$ 2.0 Bn+, where he designed & implemented Fair Valuation policy for the Funds to align with global standard industry practices. Before Edelweiss, he was acting CFO for a $ 100 Mn real estate Fund based in UK for 8 years, where he spearheaded Funds structuring, deal structuring, deal documentation, asset management, investor reporting, treasury management, taxation & compliance. He has also had extensive experience in Transaction Advisory and Assurance practises with Ernst & Young, India and UK. Kapel is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an MBA from Manchester Business School, UK.

Bala C Deshpande

Senior Managing Director

Bala has nearly two decades of experience in investment advisory, having started her investing career with ICICI Venture in 2001. In 2008 she joined NEA to set up their India platform where she headed the practice for 10 years and helped NEA US in investing and backing disruptive companies in the mid-market space. Prior to her investing experience, Bala had deep operational experience having worked for about 10 years with well-regarded multi-national corporations in India such as ICI, Cadbury’s and BestFoods.

Her investment advisory career spans both early stage and growth investing experience across multiple sectors. She has played an instrumental role in many innovative plays and entrepreneurial journeys including the first Internet IPO, first 24-hour news channel, first Payments Tech company, several consumer companies that redefined the sector etc. She is an Independent Board member of two deeply disruptive companies viz. Info Edge Ltd and Future Enterprise Limited. During her Board Tenure these companies have grown exponentially, emerged as category leaders and created immense shareholder value with multi-billion-dollar market caps.

She is passionate about Technology and its far-reaching implications on markets, businesses and consumers. She seeks to back and help build disruptive businesses and entrepreneurs who redefine markets and create lasting economic value.

Ruchir Lahoty

Ruchir is a Managing Partner at MegaDelta Capital, a sub-advisor to Millenna Capital, a Mauritius based investment fund as well as investment manager of MegaDelta Capital Fund I, a SEBI registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund. He has ~18 years of experience of which ~13 years are in investment/ investment advisory. Ruchir’s sectors of focus at the firm are Technology, Media, Telecom (TMT), BFSI, Education, Fintech, Business Services and Consumer. He currently serves as a Director on the boards of IDfy, MoneyTap, MediSys, Naaptol, ValueFirst and is an observer on the boards of Financial Software and Systems and GoQii.

Ruchir started his career with Tata Consultancy Services (India’s leading information technology services company) across various positions including corporate M&A where he led TCS’ acquisition of a company in Latin America. He then joined Thomas Weisel International, a technology focussed Investment Banking firm, in their equity research arm covering small and mid-cap technology product companies as a lead analyst in the areas of enterprise security, digital media technologies and telecom software products. He began his investment career with ICICI Venture where he joined as an AVP (associate). At ICICI Venture, he worked with Bala, covering technology, media and telecom as well as emerging sectors like education and fin-tech. Post ICICI Venture, Ruchir moved to NEA India to help set-up the India advisory practice and assume a much larger and wider responsibility. Ruchir joined NEA India as a Vice President (Senior Associate). His stellar performance led him to be promoted twice to the role of Managing Director at NEA India.

Ruchir graduated from Delhi University (Bachelors in Commerce with Honours) in 2000 and IIM-Ahmedabad (Post Graduate Diploma in Management equivalent to an MBA) in 2002.

Tarun Sharma

Managing Partner

Tarun is Managing Partner at MegaDelta Capital Advisors LLP, a sub-advisor to Millenna Capital, a Mauritius based investment fund as well as an investment manager of MegaDelta Capital Fund I, a SEBI registered Category II Alternate Investment Fund. Tarun Sharma brings in ~ 18 years of work experience including ~ 16 years in Principal investing / investment advisory in India and globally. He currently serves as Director on the board of GreytHR Software, Intelligence Node, Panacea Medical Technologies, Air Works Engineering and as Board Observer on the boards of Nova Fertility and FirstCry.com. Prior to MegaDelta Capital, Tarun formed the core investment advisory team for NEA India, leading investments across consumer, healthcare and technology companies. He was earlier with Peepul Capital Private Equity, where he was involved in structuring and executing transactions and actively managed portfolio companies in consumer and media sectors. Previously, Tarun worked at Goldman Sachs International based out of their London offices, initially with the Equity Derivatives team, and then as part of the Global Macro Proprietary trading team, where he built a strong understanding of macro themes and translating them to investible opportunities. Tarun received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, India and earned his B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Delhi, India. Tarun’s sectors of interest are Healthcare, Enterprise technology and Engineering Services.

Nikhil Marwaha

Principal

Nikhil Marwaha is a Principal and a founding member at MegaDelta Capital Advisors LLP, a sub-advisor to Millenna Capital, a Mauritius based investment fund as well as an investment manager of MegaDelta Capital Fund I, a SEBI registered Category II Alternate Investment Fund. Nikhil brings in more than 12 years of work experience including 9+ years in Principal Investing / Investment Advisory in India and globally. He currently serves as a Board Observer on the Boards of Airworks, Panacea Medical, GoQii Inc., Intelligence Node, GreytHR, Naaptol Online and Medisys Edutech.

Prior to MegaDelta Capital, Nikhil was a Principal at NEA India, where he worked on multiple investments across consumer, healthcare and technology companies. Prior to NEA India, Nikhil was with Baring Private Equity Partners (India), where he was a part of the healthcare & life sciences practice. Prior to investing, Nikhil was a Consultant with Alvarez & Marsal and Inductis, where he advised multiple Fortune 500 clients in the healthcare, financial services & education sectors.

Nikhil received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, India, where he was an Institute Scholar. He earned his B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Delhi, India.
