The Churchill family opened the doors to this remarkable brewpub in November of 2018 in historic downtown Spooner and continue to perfect their craft every day. Dedicated to raising the bar (pun intended) - we achieve exceptional service from the first pour to the last bite.
Round Man thrives on an environment of craft brews, friendly staff, incredible cuisine, and a conversational environment all set in serene Spooner, Wisconsin. The exposed metal, wood, and concrete give the brewpub a warm, but tough industrial attitude. The 70ft mural painted on the back of the brewhouse is a rendering of men working; embracing the industrial history of the area and was painted by oldest brother and Assistant Brewer, Blain.
Spencer, the youngest of the Churchill clan and our General Manager, describes Round Man as a hop-centric ale house with upper end pub fare and a blue-collar feel. Our extensive menu reflects our skill set - ranging from crispy wood stone pizzas, dynamic appetizers, colorful salads and entrees complimenting flavors of the region. Along with our incredible craft brews, we also offer a wide range of delicious craft cocktails and eloquent wine offerings. Come and see for yourself what Round Man is brewing.

J.T. Murphy 4.1% ABV
Irish Stout | James T. Murphy was a successful merchant, a railroad man and school board clerk; a all-around, community-driven fellow. In 1897, our dear friend JT got off the train for the last time and erected the very building Round Man Brewing Co. occupies today. Originally built as a grocery store, JT took his vision far beyond that, stocking dry goods, footwear, flour, feed, and gentleman’s furnishings. We sought to craft a beer as rich in character and boldness as a man of his stature certainly held. Our Irish Stout is lightweight, drinkable, and has enough unblemished flavor to leave you wanting just one more. A dark beer built for dark beer drinkers. Cheers, Mr. Murphy - this one is for you!
KBO 5.0% ABV
Cream Ale | Despite the alcohol, despite the naps, despite the baths, Winston Churchill was a work horse. It is reported that at the start of his day and at the end of every phone conversation he would exclaim KBO, or "keep buggering on." The cream ale is a lighter brew with a lower ABV and tons of flavor, that despite the long hours of work will keep you buggering on.
Log Chain5.0% ABV
American Lager | A tribute to the long history of logging in Northwest Wisconsin, and to the incredible hard-working men and women who continue to provide us with warm fires, strong houses and beautiful breweries. Our Log Chain All-American Lager has a clean, golden hue, a bready body & a crisp finish.
Mortified 5.3% ABV
Pale Ale | Affectionately named after the patriarch of the Dahl family, Mort Dahl, who the Churchill's bought the building from. Mort and his family owned this building for 87 years. The pale ale is full of flavor, robust and drinkable.
Rhapsody 5.8% ABV
Bohemian Lager | Light and complex...our Bohemian Lager sings a song of joy and flavor. Offering a dark golden color, a slightly sweet, complex malty flavor, & a light hop profile.
Smoke in the EyePA 6.0% ABV
Classic IPA | A classic IPA that stays true to the originality of the beer style. As IPAs have grown in popularity, many have created impressive and creative brews. However, this is an IPA true to its name. The old style. No frills. Full of character and body. Great for drinking by the fire where one might catch a little smoke in the eye.
Red Right Hand 6.0% ABV
Traditional Irish Red Ale | This full bodied malt beverage carries with it the strength and tenacity fitting of the Round Man name. Brewed with absolute Irish authenticity, the mysterious Red Right Hand boasts a deep red color with a crisp, refreshing, malt-forward taste. When our brewer was asked to describe the taste of this beer - after a brief and thoughtful pause - he proclaimed “It tastes like another!”
Hoppa 6.5% ABV
Hazy Imperial Pale Ale | Aside from a damn cool new logo, the Hoppa will certainly be your new favorite. Packed full with a brand new, proprietary hop, we're low on bitterness and high on those beautiful tropical and citrus notes!
Omaha X 8.0% ABV
Imperial IPA | Our strongest IPA. A hophead's delight. Bitter and strong. The City of Spooner, in Washburn County, Wisconsin, was once a major hub of railroad activity in the northwestern "Indianhead Country" of the state. Spooner was at the intersection of "the Great Omaha X" of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railroad. Four original rail lines, completed by 1883, made up the "X."
