Welcome

Eurokarst is the European bi-annual conference on the Hydrogeology of Karst and Carbonate Reservoirs.

Due to the COVID pandemics, the organisation of the next Eurokarst had to be postponed. It will be held in Malaga, June 22-25, 2022.

The announcement flyer can already be downloaded by clicking on the image below. Further information will be posted on this web site as soon as possible to keep you informed.

What is Eurokarst?

Eurokarst offers a platform for professional exchange between field practitioners and academic researchers. Eurokarst is organized usually every two  years by the Universities of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), Besançon (France), and Málaga (Spain).

Objectives

Eurokarst is intended to be an international forum for scientific debate on the progress made in research into karst environments. At this third event, the main objective of the 3rd Eurokarst is to discuss and disseminate the latest trends in research into karst aquifers and water resources based on the results obtained with different methodologies in karst terrains worlwide.

Previous Eurokarst conferences

The 2016 edition was organized at the University of Neuchâtel from 5 to 7 September 2016, followed by two days of field trips. Selected contributions were published in the Springer book series “Advances in Karst Science”.

The 2018 edition was organized in Besançon, France, from 2 to 6 July, in the historic buildings of “Espace Grammont” in the town center of Besançon.

Eurokarst is proud to have hosted the Karst Commission of the International Association of Hydrogeology during the previous editions.
