We are back!!!

It’s exciting for us as we prepare to host the race this year. Registration is now closed for all distances as we have reached our capacity. We do not maintain a wait list. We do have our permit for the race. The permit stipulates that certain mitigation steps are required to reduce exposure to Covid-19 transmission. We will follow all required restrictions on race day in regards to Covid-19. Additional precautions may be taken to protect our runners, volunteers, spectators and park staff as considered necessary by race admin. In other words, expect some changes as we navigate the safest way to meet up, get back out in the woods and have some fun with you. As part of that planning and to reduce our footprint we are going 100% cupless at this event. Runners must bring a cup or bottle for hydration during the race and at the finish line. Additionally, shuttle buses to the Visitors Center were not approved so ALL distances will start from War Eagle Mill this year. Shuttles will be available post race for only the drivers of a vehicle. Face masks will be required to board a shuttle and seating will be limited to one passenger per seat. This will result in some delays getting back to the parking lot so we ask up front that you be patient. All passengers must wait for their vehicle at the new parking lot near the Visitors Center.

The Hobbs War Eagle Trail Running Festival began back in 2006 as a 10 mile trail race with a couple dozen participants.During the first few years the event was known as the Hobbs Tail Twister benefiting the Rogers Lions Club. We are grateful for the continued support from our runners and are very proud of the thousands of dollars that have been raised for two very worthwhile local non-profit groups. Each year we strive to make it just a little better than the year before. The trails at Hobbs are among the most "runnable" in NW Arkansas. Not too technical or steep. Perfect for first time trail racers or veterans wanting to cover the trails as fast as possible. We love Hobbs, love our event and love our runners. We encourage you to come out and join us for some fun at Hobbs SP.
