Pre-registration will not be needed for this, however every person will have to sign-in. And as always, masks and social distancing will be necessary. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION - EVERY SATURDAY AT 12 NOON - Confessions will be in the church lobby, one at a time, with face masks required. Penitents will not have access to the church. In the near future the time of Reconciliation will have to be altered as we often have Saturday funerals. At this time we are only allowed to have a limited number of people in the church for Mass. This privilege is offered with a limit to the maximum number of people who can be in the church at one time.As of right now, we are allowing 50 people on Saturdays and 100 people on Sundays to register online and certain limited number to register via phone 708-422-2400 at the parish office. Pre-Registrations for Weekday Masses are not necessary however every person will have to sign-in at each Mass. If you wish to attend Mass, reserve your spot by scrolling down to the bottom of the SignUp Genius Form, click on the Sign Up Check button for the Mass you wish to attend and then click on the large button on the bottom of the page that says Submit and Sign up. You will then be prompted to fill out information for your household including the number of persons attending. Your registration for Masses will be recorded on our reservation list and you will be checked in at the door. Please keep the following in mind: If you have a fever or feel ill, please stay home. Strict social distancing will be observed. Enter through the parking lot doors. Provision will be made to accommodate disabilities. Only those registered are allowed to enter. No walk up registrations. You must wear a mask that you provide at all times. Trained volunteers will greet you. Hand sanitizer will be provided as you enter. You will be directed to specific seating. Do not move from the assigned seat and follow the directions of the usher/greeters at all times. Hymnals have been removed. You must take home any books you bring to assist your prayer. Collection baskets will not be passed. Offerings may be left by the doors as you arrive or leave (or you may donate through GiveCentral). You will receive direction at Communion time. At the end of Mass you will be directed as how to leave the building. No congregating in the church, vestibules, or outside the church is allowed. These directions are from the Archdiocese of Chicago and we must follow them in order to open the churches and to keep everyone as safe as possible. Also, The Archdiocese has created an online giving page to support parishes during this time. Donors are able to make an online donation at www.archchicago.org/offertory and designate to OUR Parish - ST. LINUS. You may also place your envelopes in the mail slot of the door of the Parish Office. It is critically important that our parishes and pastors receive the offertory support they need to remain operational and sustainable despite the suspension of weekly Masses. The Archdiocese has developed a universal online offertory page where the faithful can make an offertory donation to any parish in the Archdiocese. These donations will assist the parishes with ongoing expenses related to ministry, maintenance, staff and other pressing needs, that depend on regular offertory support from parishioners. I encourage you to contribute online to your parish at or above your usual offertory amount. Many of our parishes are suffering significant financial hardship during this challenging time. Your online support will make a critical difference.Additionally, as we are sensitive to the financial hardship suffered by many in recent days, we have also launched a Coronavirus Emergency Fund. This fund will support members of our community who have been negatively affected by the pandemic. For example, the fund will support parents of Catholic school students who might struggle with tuition payments because of unexpected job loss, ministries providing the needy with sustenance or parish communities deeply harmed by the pandemic. Our neighbors down the street and across the Archdiocese need our support at this critical moment.
