The San Leandro Rifle Pistol Range is an indoor/outdoor shooting facility that is open to the public and law enforcement agencies.

The San Leandro Range has been in operation to the public since 1957, and it is owned and operated by the Optimist Club of San Leandro. The Optimist Club has been a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) since 1948. Income from the range supports the Clubs various community service projects.

One of the few remaining indoor/outdoor ranges in the Bay Area available for public use.

Range Safety Card, Steel Shooting, and a Junior Club are available to the public through the range. We also offer fun events to introduce new shooters and their families to the joy of marksmanship and shooting sports. Our staff is NRA certified. We have private rental classrooms available for instruction. These private classes are set up through independent instructors and not the San Leandro Rifle Pistol Range. Business cards are available for many of the private instructors that operate through our range; however, they are not affiliated with the San Leandro Rifle Pistol Range. In other words, private classes are set up through individual instructors and not the range itself.

The outdoor range will not be available on Friday, November 5, 2021 due to a special event.

1. Shooters of all ages need your own valid photo ID

2. You need your own firearm (We do not rent firearms)

And that is it, simple as that.

General Admission: $25.00 Per Shooter*

*two (2) hour time limit, and no discounts are available at this time

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00am to 8:45pm
Indoor Range: Lanes open to the public except every Wednesday after 5:00 PM when it is reserved for our Junior Rifle Club

Saturday

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00am to 8:45pm
Indoor Range: 9:00 am to 8:45 pm

Sunday

Outdoor Ranges: 9:00am to 4:45pm
Indoor Range: 9:00am to 4:45pm

Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday you might want to call ahead or check out the calendar on this page as Law Enforcement and other groups do use the ranges at times on those days for practice and qualification. Thank you!
