Please visit the https://www.scott.af.mil/coronavirus/ for the latest base information.  For those with a Date of Separation through December 2020 who have incomplete TAP-related tasks, members may email the A FRC TAP org box, 375FSS.AFRC.TAP@us.af.mil or they may call theA FRC at (618)256-8668 and leave a message.  Responses will be prioritized to those with the soonest DOS/DOR, Wounded Warriors, and those with other unique situations.  For those with a DOS of 1 Jan 2021 or later, teleworking staff arereaching out via email/phone to all individuals whose appointments have been cancelled during the closure to schedule phone briefings or direct them to online resources if applicable.   TAP Initial Counseling (IC) sessions are also being conducted by phone. Those currently scheduled for ICs in the coming weeks will be contacted by phone on the date/time of their scheduledappointment. Individuals who are within 13 – 15 months of theirDOS should schedule their one on one Initial Counseling appointment via Appointment Plus. IC appointments are typicallybooked out 4-6 weeks. Local VA Benefits Educators are not currently available.  For questions regarding VA benefits or VA pre-discharge claims, please visit the banner below for more information. VA Benefits COVID-19 / Remote Guidelines  Financial Counseling and Air Force Aid Society(emergency financial assistance) For urgent Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) requests for Emergency Travel, members should contact their First Sgt for coordination andapproval, and if approved, complete the AFAS online application at HTTPS://MY.AFAS.ORG/MEMBERPORTAL.A FRC staff will follow up with all requests as soon as possible. Contact the A FRC (618) 256-8668 for an appointment. For non-emergency travel AFAS requests, members should complete the AFAS online application as statedabove.  A FRC staff will follow up with all requests as soon as possible.Members from sister services should follow same procedures as above.Requests for emergency financial assistance after traditional duty hours should be made through the American Red Cross at, 1-877-272-7337. Individuals requesting financial counseling can schedule an appointment by calling(618) 256-8668. Uniformed members or their family members may also call the Personal Financial Counselor available through the A FRC by calling (618) 304-7311. Appointments are beingconducted virtually and face-to-face.  Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC)services  Telephone/online counseling is now available to all uniformed members and their family members through the Scott Adult MFLC. Call (618) 671-2302 or (618) 979-0072to schedule an appointment.
