The What Why: Positive Planet UK is an exciting and dynamic professional organisation that partners and delivers tangible positive impact through Innovation and Entrepreneurship for our Health, the health of our Planet, and the Environment. We are passionate about our Planet and there is an urgent need to not only mitigate the climate crisis, reduce our commercial/industrial and personal carbon footprint, environmental degradation, and protect ecological biodiversity; but we ALSO have a responsibility to proactively deliver tangible “measurable” POSITIVE environmental impact for our Planet and Health, both inter-connected and inter-dependent, for a “Positive Planet”

Who: Positive Planet UK is committed to supporting the health and empowerment of all people. We also have a specific intentional strategy to accelerate the economic advancement of diverse demographics and communities, reflecting our unwavering commitment to strengthening tangible financial inclusion; and increasing access across age, gender, ethnic origin, disability, sexual orientation, and geography (incl. non-urban and coastal communities)

How: PPUK achieves this by developing, executing, and delivering:

High-Impact Accelerators and Green Scale-Up Programs for ventures targeting sustainable financial returns and impact delivery

Environmental Value Chain Ventures with measurable positive impact for the Environment, Climate, Circular Economy, Sustainability; and our Health

Venture Partnerships with aligned objectives

Sectors include CleanTech, ClimateTech, Health Wellness, Food, AgriTech Sustainable Manufacturing

PP Impact Ventures

As of 2020, less than 3% of women founders and less than 1% of minority ethnic founders receive ANY form of external capital in the UK!

Since 2019, Positive Planet UK has facilitated the launch and/or scaling of 55 Ventures led by Women Founders through its Womens Venture Incubator ( 6x over-subscribed) and Womens Venture Impact Accelerator (including through challenging 2020 Covid19 economic environment) in London, SE England, and the Scottish Highlands. 43% in Tech sector, 25% in HealthTech Wellness, and 37% with minority ethnic founders. PP Impact Ventures are PP Accelerator or Incubator ventures which have demonstrated tangible impact (including environmental sustainability) and high financial returns potential

heet coalition

PP is delighted to support 2021 launch of the HEET Coalition in Health, Environment, Enterprise, and Technology to increase business opportunities with and funding of women and minority-ethnic business owners; as well as to empower diverse communities. HEET is a coalition including private sector, universities, community, public sector, and capital providers. Join us in making a difference through action!
