FOR ALL CONTACTLESS CLICK-AND-COLLECT ITEMS BEING PICKED UP BY CUSTOMERS AND CARRIERS, PLEASE COME TO THE LANEWAY AT REAR OF OUR SHOP AND RING THE DOORBELL. Our workshop is working to get all click-and-collect items ready for pick-ups and for Postal and Courier deliveries. We are currently working to restore and supply architectural items (like doors and gates) to the domestic building trades, as well as ceiling, outdoor and wall-lighting.(Please do not visit us if you have any cold or flu symptoms).Our latest container arrived in Melbourne in early October. We will be contacting all customers who have pre-purchased during October and November. Miguel regularly travels to France to find pieces with personality for his shop, his criteria being whether he “would happily put each piece in his own house”. Miguel Meirelles hand-picks French antiques as well as decorative and quirky items. These French antique pieces are displayed mainly in a ‘as-found condition’ with full restoration and conservation services available at our Malvern premises. Periods and styles include Louis XIV to Napoleon III, as well as Art Nouveau, Art Deco and more. Miguel Meirelles trained as a conservator of antique furniture at the “Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro” in Florence (1978-1980), and today runs his Melbourne antiques retail shop at the same premises as his conservation workshop. The workshop is kept busy working on items that Miguel imports from overseas, and also on furniture belonging to local collectors and museums. We are open from 9:00 to 5:30 Mondays to Fridays and from 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturdays.
