With the express consent of the artists we are pleased to be able to bring you a selection of songs not readily available. These include a fine selection from Country Funk’s debut album. Although presently out of print the surviving band members are in the process of officially re-releasing this album hopefully with unreleased extras. One such gem is the by the group ADAM— the band that featured Country Funk members Adam Taylor and Joe Pfeifer with Don Bakes and Ray Klein. The song featured is WOMAN a song by Adam Taylor that was later covered by the Pure Prairie League on their debut album. It’s wonderful to finally hear the original version of this song which Craig Fuller learnt from the band when they met in the ski resort Mt. Snow in Vermont in the winter of 1968. To complete the cycle Pure Prairie League’s rare single version is also here which is a different mix from the debut and remains unreleased. Finally Kenny May who was a member with Craig Fuller in JD Blackfoot has given his consent to allow his song I’VE NEVER SEEN YOU airplay. This wonderful understated ballad features lead vocals by Craig Fuller. A forgotten gem. 52 pages chock full of everyone’s favourite Country Rock pioneers.
