Beware, this newsletter contains a lot of colourful graphics so if you do tend to print it, maybe stick to printing in grey scale! There’s a couple of mentions about the Community Rewards Program and the fact that the CJC is a participant in the Program. Because so many of us regularly attend CSCC venues, the return to us of a small % share of your spend goes an enormous way to keeping us financial enough to meet the costs of our monthly bands. We you haven’t already done so, we really do urge our members to nominate the CJC as their community group of choice. Until 30 June, the return to us is doubled and spends at Snapper will be included in the rewards.Long-time local musicians, trumpeter Tony Thomas, pianist Ron Cook banjoist Jim Styles, are reviving their regular jazz festival band with the addition of some local jazz talent. Joining the band will be Owen Cooper on trombone, Justin Buckingham on saxophone, Scott Temby on bass and Chris Gleeson on drums.The South Seas Stompers will deliver traditional New Orleans-style jazz, taking you back in time to the foot-stomping and driving sound that was 1920s classic jazz. Band leader, Tony Thomas, is thrilled at the opportunity to present this special combo at our next ‘Jazz at Jamison’ session. This will be a fabulous afternoon of top traditional jazz!
