WCIC was formally organized in 1936 and incorporated in 1945. Emphasis is directed toward underprivileged group participation. To foster and promote programs and services to increase the economic, cultural, educational and social levels of community members regardless of race, age, religion or gender. To expand opportunities available to low-income community members to obtain adequate low cost housing with special emphasis on the elderly, disabled and low-income women and children. To expand the opportunities available to community residents and groups to own, manage and operate business enterprises by furthering the development of locally owned or operated businesses in economically depressed areas through the provision of support services and financial support.WCIC CLUB INFORMATIONWCIC has a Club Membership that is available for the community to join. Anyone can qualify for membership. Paid membership is required. The purpose of the Club is to provide human services and social services to the community. The majority of club members are a result of word of mouth invitations. The club is open to organizations, corporations, families, youths and individuals.
