Thank you for bearing with us in our reopening struggles! Grace and Su-Shan are still chipping away at getting everyone who was postponed scheduled. Kristina is sadly no longer working at Starshine, but is off to a new adventure moving out of state.We re excited to announce that Megan has joined us as of this month. She moved to Philadelphia from Las Vegas in April and is ready to share her 14 years of styling experience. Megan is the only one who is accepting new clients at this time and the only stylist whose schedule is available on the online booking. Our online booking will not be available until everyone postponed from the COVID-19 closure is rescheduled.  We will announce on Facebook and Instagram when everything is up running and we’re in the process of reaching out to everyone individually who have been postponed.We are not accepting new clients for a yet to be determined period of time. Upon reopening, everyone who has been postponed will be our priority and we do not yet know when that will calm down. We estimate the postponements will leave us booked through back to school which leads into holiday season. We are not likely to be able to take new clients until the new year. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. I am happy to announce that we have a stylist able to accept new clients and for the time being, she has same week availability. Grace joined us in September and has been getting to know the intricacies of our color line. With a stylist ready to build and my own desire to scale back, my waitlist is closed indefinitely. We are excited to meet new people and happy to have a faster option to accommodate those of you who have been with us longer. Despite trying to communicate our current status since May through this website, Yelp, Facebook and Instagram, we are still be flooded with calls, e-mails and online requests. We can not keep up while staying in communication with our current clients. I apologize if you left us a message and it wasn t returned or if you sent us an online request and it was denied, but we have in no way hidden that we have all we can manage at this time. It is with much happiness that I get to announce that Erica is also no longer accepting new clients. Similar to my own book, Erica hit the 4 year mark at Starshine and finds her work/life balance getting strained. I realize this announcement may not make everyone happy, but please realize that as stylists we are taught that we will spend our careers hustling to have clients. We are delightfully surprised and thankful when we can have a loyal following of people who book ahead and provide us stability. Here is the direct quote from Erica s Instagram: I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my clients who have supported me throughout my career.  I truly appreciate my clients both new and old.  It has recently become very difficult to maintain a healthy work/life balance due to an overwhelming increase in demand for my services. After careful consideration, I have decided not to accept new clients temporarily. This was a difficult but necessary decision and I will be taking this time to consider my options on how to bring you all something much greater! Stay tuned for more updates. Up until recently, we did have a third stylists working with us who was accepting new clients, but she is on to a new adventure. Hello Darlings! I am writing to communicate that I need and am taking a break from accepting new clients.  I am so incredibly thankful to serve over 1,000 of you in the Philadelphia area and beyond and that much of that growth is built upon your generous referrals.  Even with booking ahead and working 6 days a week, I am struggling to get those who prefer a 4-5 week cycle in for their appointments and I can not extend my schedule further and feel as though I have a healthy work/life balance. I will be reviewing my following quarterly to see if I can schedule those new and interested, but the next review will be in the New Year.We are super excited that Lauren has joined us after moving to the Philadelphia area from New England this summer and is happily accepting new clients to create a life for herself here.  Lauren, being the newest to our team, has the soonest availability. Erica has as many clients as me, works as many days, and can book as quickly. The difference is she s 10 years younger than me and has years to go before she needs a break
