This is mostly from people associated with one or other religion that still tries to cling to old out-dated ideas that are not relevant in the world anymore. They attack the messengers and have never read any of the messages in the books accept in some cases where they use quotes that came under their attention from somebody else who have read a book halfway without understanding its contents properly. These quotes are then being used out of context by a band of people who are unwittingly working for the dark side because they interfere with the spreading of knowledge into a world that is in the grip of ignorance and greed because there is no light. They believe they are doing well, so we must not be hard on them. People fail to distinguish between right and wrong because they do not know better. Herein [as expressed by Angelus Silesius during the Middle Ages] lies the heart of true religion, which is less of theology, creed, blind faith and outer observances than of deep interior experience. Biblical narratives were well aware of this fact, and had themselves attained to profound mystical illumination. We all know what philosophy is but what is esoteric science? In EDUCATION IN THE NEW AGE, we read the following:The basic approach for all who endeavour to grasp esotericism, or to teach esoteric students, is to lay the emphasis upon the world of energies and to recognise that behind all happenings in the world of phenomena [and by that I mean the three worlds of human evolution, the physical, the emotional or astral and the mental], exists the world of energies; these are of the greatest diversity and complexity, but all of them move and work under the Law of Cause and Effect. The first task of the esotericist is to comprehend the nature of the energies which are seeking to condition him, and which work out into expression on the physical plane through the medium of his equipment, or his vehicle of manifestation. The esoteric student has, therefore, to grasp that:1. He is an aggregation of force, inherited and conditioned by what he has been, plus a great antagonistic force which is not a principle and which we call the physical body.2. He is sensitive to and should be increasingly aware of certain energies, at present unknown and of no use to him; of these he must eventually become aware, if he is to move deeper into the world of hidden forces. They may be energies which, for him, would be evil were he to work with them, and these must be distinguished and discarded; there are others which he must learn to use, for they would prove beneficial and would increase his knowledge, and should therefore be regarded as good. Bear in mind, however, that energies per se are neither bad nor good. The Great White Lodge, our spiritual Hierarchy, and the Black Lodge employ the same universal energies but with different motives and objectives; both groups are groups of trained esotericists.The Esotericist in training has, therefore:1. To become aware of the nature of the forces which constitute his personality equipment and which he himself magnetically brought into expression in the three worlds. They form a combination of active forces; he must learn to differentiate between strictly physical energy, which is automatic in its response to other and inner energies, and those which come from emotional and mental levels of consciousness, focusing through the etheric body which, in turn, motivates and galvanises his physical vehicle into certain activities.2. To become sensitive to the impelling energies of the soul, emanating from the higher mental levels. These seek to control the forces of the threefold man when a certain definite point in evolution is reached.3. To recognise the conditioning energies in his environment, seeing them not as events or circumstances but as energy in action; by this means he learns to find his way behind the scene of outer happenings into the world of energies, seeking contact and qualifying for the bringing about of certain activities. He thus acquires entrance into the world of meaning. Events, circumstances, happenings and physical phenomena of every kind are simply symbols of what is occurring in the inner worlds, and it is into these worlds that the esotericist must enter as far as his perception permits; he will sequentially discover worlds which will call for his scientific penetration.4. For the majority of aspirants, the Hierarchy itself remains an esoteric realm which demands discovery and which will accept penetration. [As the Kingdom of God or the Fifth kingdom. This, the Esotericist has to do.] So, as you can see, Esotericism is not in any way of a mystical and vague nature. It is a science; essentially the science of the soul of all things. The Esotericist is dealing with substance all the time; he is concerned with that living, vibrant substance of which the worlds are made off and which, inherited as it is from a previous solar system, is coloured by past events, and is already tinged with karma. He is occupied and working with those principles which energise each level of the cosmic physical plane and which are, in reality, aspects of the qualified life energy which is working in and through unprincipled substance. His task is to shift the focus of his attention away from the substance-form side of existence and to become aware of that which has been the source of form production on any specific level. It is his task to develop within himself the deeded responsiveness and sensitivity to the quality of the life dominating any form until he arrives eventually at the quality of the ONE LIFE which animates the planet and within Whose activity we live and move and have our being.The Tibetan goes on with the following words: I would ask all esotericists to live redemptive lives, to unfold their innate mental sensitivity, and to work continuously with the meaning which is to be found behind all individual, community, national and world affairs. If this is done, then the light will suddenly and increasingly shine upon your ways. You can become light-bearers, knowing then that in that light you will see Light and so will your fellowmen. These Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are based on Raja Yoga, the kingly science of the soul : Through the science of Raja Yoga the mind will be known as the instrument of the soul and the means whereby the brain of the aspirant becomes illuminated and knowledge gained of those matters which concern the realm of the soul. Patanjali explores exhaustively the means, the techniques and the mental posture which create the connecting thread between the form-centred personality and these stages towards spiritual achievement and soul fusion. When through the removal of hindrances and the purification of the sheaths, the totality of knowledge becomes available, naught further remains for the man to do. PROBLEMS OF HUMANITYSix basic world problems, with many ramifications, continue to present humanity with opportunity for progress. A perspective on these problems is shown in this book. The spiritual factors and subjective causes are related to outer appearances and effects on the world scene.THE REAPPEARANCE OF THE CHRISTMany religions today expect the coming of an Avatar or Saviour. The second coming of Christ, as the world Teacher for the Age of Aquarius, is presented in this book as an imminent event that is logical and practical in the continuity of divine revelation throughout the ages. The Christ belongs to all mankind, and can be known and understood as the same great identity in all the world religions .THE SOUL AND ITS MECHANISMIt is an established and accepted occult fact that the soul works through the mechanism of the three-fold personality in stimulating the three worlds of human evolution the mental, the emotional and etheric/physical planes of consciousness.It is said that the aspirant to discipleship really needs to know only two things: the constitution of man and the next step ahead. In this book the way the human constitution actually functions in its component parts is made abundantly clear. TELEPATHY AND THE ETHERIC VEHICLEThe entire subject of telepathic communication can be approached under a more subjective designation or name, but one which is interpretive of the more universal and prior stage than that of direct telepathic reception. The occultist ever approaches the subject connected with the evolutionary process from the angle of the whole and then the part, from the periphery to the centre, from the universal to the particular. Among themselves, the Masters do not deal with telepathy as a science warranting consideration, endeavour and impartation; they are concerned primarily with the Science of Impression.A TREATISE ON COSMIC FIREIn her foreword to this book, the author mentions a five-fold purpose within its teaching: briefly: [1] To provide a compact and skeleton outline of a scheme of cosmology, philosophy and psychology which may serve as a reference and textbook; [2] as an elucidation of the relation between Spirit and Matter, demonstrating as consciousness; [3] To show the coherent development of all that is found within a solar system and to demonstrate that everything evolves: [4] To give practical information about focal points of energy found in the etheric bodies of the Solor Logos, the macrocosm, and of man, the microcosm: [5] To give some information of the place and work of those sentient lifes who form the essence of objectivity, and to indicate the nature of Hierarchies of Existences who form out of their own substance all that is seen and known.These five objectives, and more, the book encompasses; for the effect in the individual consciousness is such that theories become transcended and the mind begins to experience through contemplative thought what the words on paper reveal to the intelligence. The finite human mind can touch its cosmic origins and its fiery essence when it opens to the three cosmic Laws of Synthesis, of Attraction and of Economy. A TREATISE ON THE SEVEN RAYSFive volumes have been written under the overall title of A Treatise on the Seven Rays. They are based on the fact, the nature, the quality and the interrelationship of the seven streams of energy pervading our solar system, our planet and all that lives and moves within its orbit.ESOTERIC PSYCHOLOGY, VOLUMES I AND IIFrom the point of view of esoteric psychology, evolution is the evolution of consciousness, by which the imbedded fragment of the soul within the personality progressively identifies its spiritual source and becomes at-one with it.The second volume deals exhaustively with the ray qualities controlling the life, consciousness and appearance of a human being on the physical plane. The first part of the book dealing with the Egoic Ray, including sections on [1] The growth of soul influence; [2] The seven laws of soul or group life; [3] the five groups of souls and [4] Rules for inducing soul control. While the second part on The Ray of the Personality, contains detailed teaching on [1] The appropriation of the bodies; [2] The coordination of the personality; [3] Some problems fo psychology and [4] Diseases and problems of disciples and mystics.The final part of this volume on Humanity Today anchors these pervasive thoughts and energies within the world arena. The world situation is viewed from the esoteric and Hierarchical angle and in relation to the requirements of the dawning new Age of Aquarius. A synthesis of thought and a unity of purpose must be established in the world in order to create conditions in which peace can prosper and the Christ can reappear with the externalisation of the Hierarchy.ESOTERIC ASTROLOGY, VOLUME IIIThe science of esoteric astrology is said to be the basic occult science of the future. Astrology is described in this book as the science of relationships , a science which deals with those conditioning energies and forces which play through and upon the whole field of space and all that is found within it.ESOTERIC HEALING, VOLUME IVEsoteric healing is a science baced on a number of requirements, including knowledge of the constitution of man and the nature of the various bodies, both dense and subtle. To this practical knowledge, the science of occultism contributes vital information of the energy factors, the karmic and ray influences, the psychology and astrology of the soul, and the laws and rules fundamental to the safe and successful practice of esoteric healing. In this book the seven ray techniques of healing are described; the laws and rules of healing are enumerated and discussed; the requirements for healing are given in detail; and the basic causes of disease are shown. We learn, for example, that much disease can be karmic in origin; that certain diseases are inherent in the soil and in the substance of the planet; and that many others are psychological, arising in the emotional or mental bodies. Hence the need for a total and comprehensive understanding both of the patient and of the correct and safe methods of healing.We are also given a true understanding of death as the abstraction, or the withdrawal, of the soul from the body to continue life on its own plane without the limitation of the body, until a new cycle of incarnation and experience in form is necessary.THE RAYS AND THE INITIATIONS, VOLUME VThis final volume of A Treatise on the Seven Rays, contains the fundamental spiritual structure on which the next presentation of the Ageless Wisdom teaching will build. These are the rules for disciples and initiates, paralleling on a higher turn of the spiral the rules for applicants contained in the book Initiation, Human and Solar . The second part of this volume is concerned with the Rays and the initiations, those nine major expansions of consciousness through which the initiate becomes progressively liberated from the various forms of our planetary life, ultimately proceeding upon his chosen Path of development and service within the universe.A TREATISE ON WHITE MAGICThis book contains the Fifteen rules for Magic, and for soul control, based on these words in the Bhagavad-Gita: Though I am Unborn, the Soul that passes not away, though I am the Lord of Being, yet as Lord over My nature I become manifest, through the magical power of the Soul. The soul unmanifest in its essential being, manifest through the nature of its personality equipment, is always a source of mystery. It evades the analytical concrete mind: it reveals its true self to the illumined mind fused with the open heart, seeking not to grasp and to hold for personal progress, but to wield the magical power in service. The power of the soul is always available to the one who seeks, as an aspirant to accepted discipleship, to become of practical service in his own peculiar times, state and environment. The book closes with a rousing call to the soul in all aspirants: I close with an appeal to all who read these instructions, to rally their forces, to renew their vows of dedication to the service of humanity, to subordinate their own ideas and wishes to the group good, to take their eyes off themselves and fix them anew upon the vision .Let all students make up their minds in this day of emergency and of opportunity to sacrifice all they have to the helping of humanity. THE LABOURS OF HERCULESThe story of the dramatic experience of the great and ancient Son of God, Herakles, will give a synthetic picture of the progress of the soul from ignorance to wisdom, from material desire to spiritual achievement . Its theme will be found to be so inclusive that all of us, struggling in our present modern life, can make application to ourselves of the test and trails, the failures and achievements of this heroic Figure, who strove, centuries ago, towards the same goal as e do.A secondary object of this study is to present an aspect of astrology which will differ from that usually expressed. We shall trace the story of Hercules as he passed through the twelve signs of the Zodiac. In each sign he expressed its characteristics, and in each sign, he achieved some fresh knowledge of himself, and through that knowledge demonstrated the power of the sign and acquired the gifts which the sign conferred. In each of the signs we shall find him surmounting his natural tendencies, controlling and governing his destiny, and demonstrating the fact that the stars incline, but do not control.THE UNFINISHED AUTOBIOGRAPHYAlthough her death in December 1949 prevented the completion of this book, enough of the author s life story emerges to show the stages in her journey from Christian evangelism to mastery of the science of esotericism and her work as an author, lecturer and teacher.
