Sambhava Burke was born and raised on the East Coast in North Carolina. He studied Psychology in a small college in the mountains of N.C. and during the summer before his final year in school he participated for 2 weeks in a youth program at Ananda Village called Living with Spirit . Shortly after he graduated from college he moved out West to live at Ananda Village in 2011. He has lived and served in the village ever since. He has served in a variety of ways at Ananda Village but his primary area of service has been as a chef between cooking for 3 years at Master s Market and for an additional 2 years at The Expanding Light Retreat. He has been a disciple of Yogananda since 2010. Ana Kirsch was born and raised in Seattle, WA, where she and her family became first acquainted with Ananda Washington. She worked for several years in the corporate world out of college before determining that her lifestyle wasn t supporting her spiritual growth enough. Feeling drawn to dive more fully into Ananda, Ana moved to the Village about 2 years ago. She has been living and serving Ananda full-time ever since for various aspects of our mission, including the Living Discipleship program.
