On the surface, things looked bright, but Isaiah referred to it as a time of darkness. Yet He prophesied from that darkness, the coming Messiah who would be God’s gift for all that was wrong with this dark world. Isaiah 9:6 “And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Between now and Christmas, let’s consider these four names for Jesus and this will remind us that Jesus is God’s gift to calm our darkest fears, meet your deepest needs, and fulfill your greatest desires.
