Jim died on the Ides of March, 2007, of lung cancer. Click on Farewell to Jim for details. I was his wife first and his webmaster second, and now that he is gone the widow and the webmaster have not been working effectively to recast and maintain this site. It's now over 2 years since his death and it's time for the widow to face her grief and the webnmaster to make practical decisions. I still don't know exactly what I'm going to do, but I'm hoping to update one section's entry page for the rest of the month of July 2009 and make the decisions one day at a time. Wish me luck! This a regional almanac, published annually,that charts the timing of Natural Events inthe Midwest, specifically Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri andWestern Kentucky.
