The actions that occurred were a violation of our nation’s core and what true patriots stand for – democracy, our Constitution, the freedom to elect our leadership, and the right to feel safe on our own homelands, especially in institutions that represent our country, such as the United States Capitol Building. Alaska Natives and Native Americans have the highest participation in the military compared to any other ethnic group.
