Indian River County COVID-19 Updates and Resources: ircgov.com/coronavirus Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) Mortgage and Rent Payment Assistance Program In response to the significant financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on local families, Indian River County has launched the Rental and Mortgage Payment Assistance Program. This program, approved by the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, will utilize Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) received from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) to assist local households affected by the pandemic with rental and mortgage payments. The Rental and Mortgage Payment Assistance Program will provide financial assistance of up to $1,500 per month, for up to three months, to eligible households that require assistance due to economic losses caused by COVID-19. Rental and mortgage assistance may be used for late payments and late fees and charges. Mortgage assistance may also be used for a portion of taxes and insurance under limited circumstances as state and federal rules permit. Applications will be accepted starting September 14th, 2020. Right-of-Entry Form for Private Roadways and Subdivisions The County Commissioners may, after the declaration of a disaster, authorize the collection of debris from Private Roadways and Private Subdivisions. In order to facilitate the collection of disaster generated vegetative debris, a right-of-entry form must be submitted yearly by each property owner on a private road or by an authorized officer or agent of the Home Owners' Association of a private subdivision on a private road. A new form must be submitted each year. Submit the form or get more storm debris collection information. Property Easements for Beach Nourishment Projects Indian River County continues to manage and construct large scale beach nourishment projects. Upcoming nourishment projects over the next two years include Sector 3 and Sector 7 beach management areas. A portion of the sand may be placed on the beach landward of the Mean High Water Line and seaward of the dune line, which is private property. In order to proceed with the sand fill project on these sections of private property, the County will require a beach management and assessment easement from property owners or Condo Associations of beachfront parcels in the project areas.
