CAN-8 is sold with a license that allows a specificconcurrent number of connections to the cloud. This number depends on theneeds of the site. These connections are not limited to specificworkstations, to geographical location, or to individual users. CAN-8 canbe installed on any number of workstations, can be installed for remoteaccess (home users) or for in-lab use and you can register up to 65000users within CAN-8.

When a user starts CAN-8, the software first checks to see if a license isavailable to use. If yes, a license is removed from the pool of licensesand assigned to that user. When the user exits the application, or thelicense is idle for a period, the license goes back into the pool,becoming available to other users.

Support and maintenance

Sounds Virtual includes one full year of free support and maintenance when you purchase a CAN-8 system. During the support term, our technical experts will give you dedicated assistance with using the CAN-8 system, resolving technical issues with data management tasks such as server backups, or migrations to other server hardware. The maintenance aspect provides your site with the most recent versions of the CAN-8 software include all enhancements and fixes made at no extra cost. This service can be renewed on a yearly basis.
