We engender a positive learning environment where young people can aspire, be challenged and excel in an atmosphere of safety and purpose. On Wednesday and Thursday 10 BHS students from Years 10-12 took part in The Redbridge Model UN.This was held at Seven Kings High School along with 7 other local schools. The conference was student-led and each student represented either a country or a member of the US cabinet in discussing solutions to climate change.Students were required to research their perspective beforehand on the issue and consequently debate with other countries at the conference. The conference ended with the president of the USA deposed and several other really good ideas on how to solve climate change. If only this was a reality !The students from BHS were: Radhika Patel (Year 12), Abdul Al-Shateri (Year 12), Nahidah Khan (Year 12), Shameela Fairooz (Year 10), Tyresa Pakeerathan (Year 10), Ettien Miller (Year 9), Sami Vieru (Year 9), Sumrah Ahmed (Year 9), Amber Joshi (Year 9) and Anjali Kareer (Year 9).Although this was their first experience of a Model UN, three students won awards:Abdul Al-Shateri Best Delegate overallRadhika Patel Distinguished DelegateSumrah Ahmed Honourable Mention for articulated responses (particularly impressive considering as a Year 9 student she was debating with far older students). All students were fantastic representatives of BHS. Please congratulate any that you may teach.13 students achieved straight A* grades58 students achieved straight A grades or higher7 students achieve straight Distinction*s4 students got in to Oxbridge (two Oxford, two Cambridge)7 students took up places at Medical school28% heading for Russell Group universitiesA Levels 100% pass rateA*-A30%A*-B59%A*-C83%ALPS value added outstanding and in top 10% of sixth forms nationallyVocational 99% pass rate47%Distinction* Distinction89%Distinction* Merit99%Pass rateALPS value added good Recent News909, 2020Summer School 2020We at Beal High School felt strongly about providing your our pupils with the opportunity to experience their new or existing school setting...…...909, 2020Welcome Year 7!Welcome to all our year 7's, we hope that you will enjoy your time here at Beal....…...109, 2020Former Student s debut for England U21 sFormer Beal student, Joshua Da Silva, has been called up for England under 21's for their forthcoming coming matches....…...2108, 2020Students at Beal High School celebrate their fantastic GCSE resultsThis year students at Beal Sixth Form achieved some well-deserved outstanding results ...…...IMPORTANT INFORMATIONSchool opening from Monday 14th September 2020: Click hereParent/carer letter 15th July 2020: Click hereWhat parents and carers need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges in the autumn term(Updated 1st Sept 2020): Click hereSafeguarding Policy: Click hereStudent Behaviour Addendum: Click hereONLINE LEARNING RESOURCESMoodle
