BAND CAMP UPDATESHello Marching Dons!With our modified and socially distanced band camp just around the corner, a few reminders and updates.REMINDERS:Complete the home health screening here (you don’t turn this in)Return this form at the first session you are scheduled to attend. No form = no campPlease arrive (wearing a mask) no earlier than 10 minutes ahead of your time and leave as soon as you are done (no visiting or lingering on campus)If you are in Group 1: your drop off and pick up are at the Santa Rita Rd lot (follow the purple arrow to the purple zone on the map for location of camp)If you are in Group 2: your drop off and pick up are at the Del Valle lot (follow the yellow arrow to the yellow zone on the map for location of camp)Here is a list of things to bring!UPDATES:The brass and woodwind players will NOT be playing their instruments at band camp per updated guidelines from the health department and district. They should still bring their instruments for visual practice and "fingers only" work on music. This means students will be masked the entire time and there will be no risk of additional aerosol spread from the instruments. Students will be 8' apart, exceeding minimum social distancing requirements.There will be several virtual events during band camp for ALL band/guard members to attend.Each section will schedule two virtual sectionals to allow for those members who don't attend in person camp to receive instruction and connection with their sections. Section leaders are in charge of communicating these sectionals toAlso please make a note of the following virtual band camp events for the entire group (parents welcome, too!)In a regular season at the end of each practice the band will gather on the center of the turf for final announcements and recognitions.
