ICAJ Member Mr. Alok Jain (left) presents the Sushil Jain Award to Mr. Nickalus Farr at the ICAJ/ACCA joint graduation ceremony held on October 26, 2019 at the Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston. The Sushil Jain Award is presented annually to the youngest graduate who successfully completes the professional programme on his/her first attempt. Mr. Bruce Scott (at podium) delivered an insightful presentation on how companies can sustain their viability by preparing for unique disasters. He was addressing the ICAJ 2019 Business Seminar and was joined on the panel by Mrs. Eleanor Jones and Ms. Anna-Kaye Jones. The panel discussion was moderated by Mrs. Ingrid Christian-Baker (seated right). Ms. Allison Peart (centre) ICAJ Vice President and Taxation Committee Chair, is flanked by panelists at the Taxation Seminar held on September 25, 2019 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Panelists from left are: Mr. Denzil Whyte, Director for Taxation at KPMG; Mr. Joe James, Economic and Commercial Officer, US Embassy in Jamaica; Mr. Ainsley Powell, Commissioner General, Tax Administration Jamaica and Mr. Everald Dewar, Tax Associate Partner at BDO. A fifth panelists, Mr. Maikel Evers, Adviser-Multilateral Instrument at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation Development (OECD), delivered his presentation via skype. The Hon. Adrian Strachan, OJ (l) accepts his citation from ICAJ President Mr. Sixto Coy for his outstanding contribution to the accountancy profession and for being the longest serving Auditor General of Jamaica.
