News: Recently members have been receiving emails from outside the forums but still leading to scammers. One way to limit these attacks would be for any Member posting their wants and needs to not include any phone numbers or email addresses in their posts, but request that they be contacted initially by the Forums Personal Message System (PM s) as your email addresses that are supplied are not available to anyone, apart from Administrators of this Forum.WE have instituted a capability whereby email addresses from common email providers, e.g. gmail, will be overwritten with a not permitted text, to prevent scammers trying to get our members to contact people outside the forums. As mentioned above you should only use PM (Personal Messaging) to communicate with other forum members[/i]We all need to be vigilant, and wary of anything that comes to us from someone we don t actually know. With the update of the forum software, which had not happened in the last four years so was very necessary, the existing anti-spam software was no longer compatible. We now have a different anti-spam filter which is very effective but sometimes is a little too enthusiastic. Please check the Forum Support and Suggest Box forum for known issues and workarounds or other resolutions. The webmaster receives daily requests to reset passwords from members because they do not receive the password reset email. This is almost always because the member has not set-up a secret question and answer in the profile, which is a requirement for self-service password reset.At your earliest convenience, please access your profile and add a question and answer.
