The ‘midden’ was never far from the stable and cowhouses and here I went to Patrick school where there were two classes an Infants class and a Junior one. Leave gates as you find them. 3. Follow signs. 4. Keep dogs on a lead around sheep and cattle. 5. If cattle follow you, don't panic. Stay calm and walk quietly and quickly around the herd. 6. Avoid getting between cows and their calves. Find another way around the herd and rejoin the footpath. 7. Be careful not to damage growing crops - stick to the path. 8. Don't forget to clean up after your dog. 9.
