About Annerley
Starting as a small, privately run clinic in 1995, Annerley has since grown to over 9 members of staff, including midwives, obstetricians (OBGYN), nurses and more, who all offer unique and invaluable support throughout your pregnancy, birth and beyond — whether you’re going through the public or the private system in Hong Kong.
Annerley has since been acquired by OTP in 2017 and has moved into OTP’s new Family Clinic in the heart of Central Hong Kong. Our aim is to offer non-biased information relevant to your pregnancy to help you plan and prepare for birth and parenthood.

It's been over 8 weeks now since I had my baby and I have been meaning to write to you but the days really do go by so fast! I can't believe it's been 8 weeks.
Anyway, I just wanted to write a quick note to say a massive thank you to everyone at OTP and Annerley. I really do feel as though I couldn't have had a better pregnancy and birth experience.
I felt in great hands the whole way through with Dr Stevenson and Michelle and my birth at Gleneagles was amazing. I really couldn't have planned for anything better. I felt in safe hands with the whole team.
I also feel as though the classes along the way really helped to prepare me for what to expect and I found Sue to be a great support when I really needed it in those first few weeks.
Thanks again to the whole team.

Sue was our pillar of strength during a difficult pregnancy. She was always kind and empathetic, and we felt reassured by the depth of her experience. Sue taught fantastic pre-natal classes, including hypnobirthing and giving birth in a public hospital. After our baby arrived (in February 2021), Sue provided us with support through home visits, which was really helpful especially as our baby had jaundice at birth. She is also a lactation consultant, which is a bonus, and her guidance helped me to get my baby to latch. And a very special bonus is that Sue does newborn photography and she took absolutely gorgeous photos of our baby in his first few weeks of life.

Second time, largely due to Covid-19 and the new packages available through OTP and Gleneagles Hospital, I was able to give birth in the private system. Both times the team were on hand to help me through my concerns and over the past three years I have developed a great relationship with my midwife – Rosie. Sometimes having a baby isn’t just about the physical, having someone to talk to about your experiences can be of great help and Rosie always understood this. Appointments with a midwife do not feel rushed and any concerns never brushed aside which is so important, particularly during your first pregnancy when everything is new. Dr. Michael Chor handled my second delivery, which was quick and controlled in comparison to my first. He is a kind and gentle doctor who always puts your mind at ease. When Covid escalated and hospital visitation locked down, we found ourselves in a pinch. Having Dillon present for the birth was a nonnegotiable for me, so we met with you to come up with a game plan moving forward. Truly, I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the reassurance you provided (both Ailish and Michelle) when we made the decision to switch our package to the private fixed Gleneagles birth. Our pre and postnatal care through OTP far exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our Birth, Babies and Beyond classes with Sue. Michelle saw me for checkups leading up to birth and we were always grateful for her kind and approachable spirit. We saw Dr. Stevenson for a check up before my due date, and Dr. Stevenson happened to be on call the morning Leo arrived. He was on board and encouraging regarding my wishes for a natural birth and I was fortunate everything went smoothly. Dr. Chan was warm and energetic during his visits to us at the hospital. He also provided support and insight for breastfeeding, which was very important to me.

In the beginning, I questioned what we would be doing in class as I felt the videos gave all the info we needed, but on reflection, it became clear that the videos were just a starting point - the beauty of the classes was 2 whole hours of questions answered by experts who were honest and warm. As I'm sure you hear all the time, doctors appointments in HK are rushed and I never really feel like they have time for all my questions - let alone the 'silly' ones I don't even dare to ask. Yet at the Annerley classes, these questions were never deemed as silly or time-wasting - and attention was paid to every question or concern, no matter how trivial we may have thought it was.

Our journey with Annerley started at week 5 when we had our first scan with Hulda to confirm that we were pregnant. However, as we didn’t have pregnancy medical insurance, we opted for the public system after being reassured of its pros and cons by Hulda. We were offered a special package deal at Gleneagles which we could jump on immediately with a private OB/midwife and fantastic support from Gleneagles hospital. With much relief, we were followed by Annerley team for our last 2 weeks! The midwives, nurses and doctors at Gleneagles were amazing, friendly and so professional. Muk and I feel so grateful and blessed for Annerley - without them, I am not sure how this journey would have ended... So thank you from the 3 of us.
