Walnut, Brass, Mouth-Blown Glass & Danish Whisky - The Newly Relaunched Whisky Chair

The Whisky Chair was designed by Finn Juhl in 1948 and is characterized by his artistic sense of shape, function, and detail. The chair is produced in American walnut and is upholstered by hand in leather and/or textile. Furthermore, the chair is crafted with a handmade brass tray and characteristic brass feet. Upon purchase, customers will receive a unique mouth-blown glass crafted by glassmaker Mikkel Yerst. The first 250 chairs sold are numbered and with each chair the customer will receive a complimentary bottle of a limited peat smoked single malt whisky, aged in an Amarone wine cask, by the award-winning Danish distillery Stauning Whisky.

Our Showroom in Central Copenhagen

The building which houses the House of Finn Juhl showroom is nothing short of historical. Since 1879, it has been the home of music trading and publishing in Copenhagen. Through five generations, the Wilhelm Hansen family has run a music publishing house, note printing business and a sheet music shop from here. The Wilhelm Hansen Music Publishers were the biggest in all of Scandinavia and grew to become synonymous with the treasure of Danish music. Here, all of the greatest artists were gathered under one roof.
