Last weekend BH Futures Foundation held the Futures Academy in Banja Luka, which once again gathered a large number of our scholars and volunteers.

The BH Futures Foundation aims to help its scholars when difficult times arise. The last couple of years were also challenging for students. Overcoming obstacles from education to accommodation has dramatically impacted students’ day-to-day lives. Supporting the efforts of scholars is one of our main objectives. We are glad that they still have the motivation in these times to keep pushing forward and excelling in their paths of individual development.

Today we will be introduced to one of our members of the Ignite Program - Meliha Džindo. Through this short video, Meliha talked about her impressions gained through working with the Foundation, motivation and plans for the future.

The BH Futures Foundation and Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences partnered up several years ago to promote educational and research opportunities in the academic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad. This year, our way of partnering and connecting researchers was the inaugural BH Researchers Meetup. The event was organised with the aim to bring together the BH research community - students, professors, and industry along with the 3 Minute Thesis competitors and the attendees of the 13th Annual Days of Bosnian-Herzegovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Our scholars Selman Patković and Adnan Kubat, together with their team of students and staff from the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Zenica, took a part in the 13th Days of the BHAAAS Conference. The team presented their project and used this opportunity to affirm, as well as to expand its network in scientific circles.

Eight scholars got an opportunity to travel to Austria's largest city and its national capital: Vienna where they visited the Technical University of Vienna, the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology, Bosch and participated in a BH professionals networking event.

We funded 19 scholars to attend largest European Software Developers Conference “We Are Developers”. Our scholars attended the conference and organised a meetup event with fellow Bosnia & Herzegovina professionals in Berlin.

With the announcement of the winners and the awarding of over 20,000 BAM in cash prizes at an online ceremony held on the 25th of June 2022, the third 3MT competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina has concluded. Discover all the winners and rankings here.

The Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation and the International Burch University gathered over 150 engineering students, as well as experts and automotive enthusiasts, at the Futures Automotive Conference held last month in Sarajevo. Some of the topics of the conference included careers in automotive industry as well as the challenges faced by the entire world and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
