The Electric Vehicle Association (formerly the Electric Auto Association) is North America’s leading nonprofit that accelerates the adoption of electric vehicles by supporting its 100 chapters and thousands of members as they educate their communities about the benefits of driving electric.

After 55 Years a Name Change

The Electric Auto Association is now the Electric Vehicle Association. Our mission of more than half a century remains the same: to educate and advocate for the rapid adoption of electric vehicles.

With an ever-growing number of electric mobility options, like delivery trucks, transit buses, school buses, bicycles, and scooters, our members felt changing “Auto” to “Vehicle” more accurately represents the electric vehicle industry as we know it today. Read more.
