We endeavor to provide the best services we can, and any information and feedback that you can provide will help to make us better.Client criteriaThe L E Clinic is designed to help entrepreneurs develop businesses that create a positive economic impact for the state of Wisconsin. We select applicants on the basis of all of the following criteria:The applicant would otherwise be unlikely to obtain qualified legal adviceThe applicant has not received a significant round of outside funding or financing from investorsThe applicant’s place of business is within the jurisdiction of the state of WisconsinThe work requested by the applicant is appropriate for students and presents an interesting educational opportunityIssues not handled by the L E ClinicBecause they are outside the scope of the clinical program, the L E Clinic does not provide legal assistance in the following areas:Litigation/disputes (or situations where litigation appears likely)Pure tax adviceInternational lawFill out the Service Request Form belowUpon satisfactory review of your service request, you will be asked to submit fill out a more detailed form. You can view the information requested by this form in our model screening presentation: see what this Powerpoint looks likeAfter completing the detail form, you will be scheduled for an initial screening interview, also known as our intake screeningScreening interviews typically occur monthly and may be conducted in person or over the phoneAfter the screening interview, the L E Clinic staff will make a final determination whether to take the applicant on as a clientIf you are accepted, a student associate will contact you to schedule an intake interview and prepare an engagement letter (which may take up to 90 days). Clients must sign an engagement letter prior to any L E Clinic assistanceIf you are not accepted, you are welcome to reapply at any time
