NAIFA-Texas: Professional Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors: NAIFA-Texas’ mission is to advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of its members.NAIFA-Texas Road Show Campaign (aka Mini Legislative Days) NAIFA-Texas sent two of their members to six different Texas towns to meet with Law Makers for a two week stretch. They asked us to come up with concepts to give the road show event more appeal on social media. We brainstormed some fun ways to make the social media content more engaging and entice membership to follow along during the tour. We made each stop along the tour a fun travel poster graphic, with the primary message of “We’re bringing the Legislature to you!” We used the social media graphics in email blasts, the agenda headers, on Facebook covers, Facebook share graphics, Instagram, LinkedIn shared image, and Twitter photo. The People’s Community Clinic is a non-profit, primary health care facility whose purpose is to provide high quality medical, counseling and healthcare to the medically underserved and uninsured Central Texans. They hosted a special fund-raising luncheon event for their 40th birthday: 40 Years: What a Trip! This campaign featured iconic images from 1970 juxtaposed against iconic images from 2010. Campaign included identity, program, placemats, postcards, and a series of 12 posters. • Travis County Green Party postersWe are about putting forth an electoral option for an eco-socialist government. A DIY movement of the people against the colonialist-capitalist corporatocracy. How very Austin!• Delia Garza Campaign BrandingDelia Garza is a member of the Austin City Council, representing District 2 in Texas. Garza assumed office in 2015. Yes, our campaign branding helped get her there. Worked so well, she used the same imagery for her re-election campaign, which she handily won. Delia also became Austin’s first Latina Mayor Pro Tem in in January 2019. As of early 2020, Delia is running for Travis County Attorney in Texas. We created his initial election campaign branding and adapted it for his re-election campaign. Yes, of course he won. When Kelly first met Chris, he came riding up on a bike, so he’s the real deal. As his re-election campaign kicked off, we learned we had many imitators attempting to rip off the green, eco feel of our campaign graphic. You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.• Round Rock Proposal Direct Mailer PostcardsWe worked with Rifeline to create these direct mail postcards informing voters on various propositions on the ballot. Rifeline is a public involvement and community relations firm in Austin, Texas serving organizations that rely on public support to achieve their goals. We specialize in branding for nonprofits, even giving a 15% discount for design services. We’re all in this together, so let us work together serving the common good. Kirk Watson Fund-Raising EventEvent graphic for a fund-raising event benefitting Austin Mayor Kirk Watson’s re-election campaign, with live music and local craft beers. Started with just a web graphic to live on their website, but then we started incorporating social media into the mix, with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter sized elements. Here is a collection of those graphics. We experimented with different layouts over the years, with the most recent being the Diaspora Talks. PeopleFund creates economic opportunity and financial stability for underserved people by providing access to capital, education, and resources to build healthy small businesses.We initiated PeopleFund’s branding with a pocket folder/media kit. This was a modular solution, with folded brochures slipping into slots on the pocket. Each brochure was targeted to one of three audiences: donors, investors, and loans/loan info. We utilized grainy, recycled stock and hand-drawn illustrations to emphasize the grass roots nature of PeopleFund’s community-growth oriented service.Shown is the media kit folder with the four inserts, and we carried that roughened design theme through the annual report. In following years, we continued to explore the hand-drawn elements in subsequent annual reports and PeopleFund’s website. See annual reports websites for more samples. Driving visitors to our FREE downloadable PDF: “Doing the Pandemic Pivot.” There we’ll collect contact info and lead them to our own Pandemic Pivot Package (social media graphics promoting their own business pivots).____________________________________GG Change FocusIn 2019, I shifted our branding and general focus to a more niche audience of Do-Gooders (nonprofits, social entrepreneurs, environmental/green biz, social change orgs, and other mission-oriented businesses/organizations).
