The company as we know it today has been producing two full-scale musicals at Darlington Hippodrome since 1945 and has a national reputation for creating large scale, lavish productions.An integral piece of the history of Darlington Hippodrome, DarlingtonOS was instrumental in keeping the theatre alive in the late 1950s – ensuring the building was not demolished, later selling the building to the local Council who, to this day, run the theatre.A jewel in the crown of Edwardian theatre, Darlington Hippodrome is a receiving house for large scale professional touring shows with a seating capacity of over 1000. Following a major £13million restoration back in 2017 the venue is fit for purpose for years to come.
