Private graveside funeral services for Olivia D. “Mrs. Pete” Simpson, 77, of Cairo, GA, are on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Greenwood Cemetery, Cairo, GA.  Rev. Jeff Ezell will officiate.  Mrs. Simpson passed away at her home in Cairo, GA, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Mrs. Simpson [ ] Wyman Haskell Richter, Jr., 81 died at his residence on October 8, 2020.  He was born on July 5, 1939 at the “old home place” on Broad Street in Cairo, Georgia to Wyman H. Richter, Sr. and Louisa Ledford Richter.  He was an honor graduate of Cairo [ ] Durwood Edwin Phillips, 66, of Whigham, GA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.  Per his request, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Mr. Phillips was born on October 4, 1954, in Thomasville, GA, to the late Charlie Jutson [ ] Private graveside funeral services for James Gary Stuckey, 60, of Cairo, GA, are on Friday, October 9, 2020, in Providence Community Cemetery, Whigham, GA.  Rev. Tammy Fincannon will officiate.  Mr. Stuckey passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Honorary pallbearers will be Elzie Jones, [ ] Edgar Bussey Smith, III, 79, of Cairo, GA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.  A private memorial service has been scheduled for the family. Mr. Smith was born on June 3, 1941, in McRae, GA, to the late Edgar B. Smith, Jr. and [ ] Donald Wayne “Donnie” Hand, 48, of Cairo, GA, passed away at his home on Monday, October 5, 2020 of natural causes.  The family will have a memorial service at a later time. Mr. Hand was born on October 7, 1971, in Austell, GA, to the late Walter [ ] Due to public health concerns, Clark Funeral Home wants to be proactive in the protection of our families. We will handle each service in an individual manner based on the families’ wishes. The National Funeral Directors Association and the Georgia State Board of Funeral Service have sent requests for all funeral homes to implement action plans that take into the consideration of public services and gatherings. We will perform the services that you request for your loved one; however, there may be circumstances that are beyond our control which will hinder certain requests, such as, public visitations or service locations. We will adjust to any issues as this situation unfolds. We would ask the public to please be prepared for modified versions of traditional and memorial services. No one is immune to what is happening in our nation. Please help us to keep your family and loved ones safe during this time of crisis.
