The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) and its units provide key financial, facilities management, human resource and administrative services to our campus. VPFA includes a broad portfolio of administrative units that directly serve and support all aspects of campus life, from various financial service units, to Campus Planning and Facilities Management, Human Resources, and Safety and Risk Services which includes the police, as well as a number of administrative units. News Power maintenance project goes off without problems Administrative Units Budget and FinanceThe university’s central finance and budget team is comprised of three units: the Business Affairs Office, responsible for ensuring that the institution applies sound and responsive business practices while adhering to all regulations, policies, procedures, and industry standards; Budget and Resource Planning, which is tasked with developing and implementing the university’s budget processes, policies, and practices in alignment with the institution’s resources, mission, and objectives; and Institutional Research, which provides information and analytical support to the university's decision makers.Campus Planning and Facilities ManagementCampus Planning and Facilities Management is comprised of five units—Facilities Services, Utilities and Energy, Campus Planning, Design and Construction, and the Office of Sustainability. We are the creative problem solvers for issues around space, design, and operations. We work together in a collaborative and communicative way to serve the greater campus community.Human Resources Human Resources aims to strategically partner with the university community as a comprehensive, innovative, and results-oriented resource modeled on the very best human resources practices; deliver a variety of services and programs which underscore a commitment to inclusiveness, respect, fairness, and accountability; and strive to be to be proactive, consultative partners meeting the needs of employees and operations across the institution. Retirement Plans Management, a part of the HR team, administers the retirement plans for Oregon's public universities.Safety and Risk ServicesSafety and Risk Services (SRS) collaborates with students, staff, faculty, visitors, and the surrounding community to safeguard life and health and mitigate threats to the university’s core mission of academics, research, and public service. SRS provides professional services, technical assistance and planning, education, and regulatory oversight. SRS is comprised of emergency management and fire prevention, environmental health and safety, campus geographic information systems, risk management, and the UO Police Department.Campus ServicesThe VPFA’s Campus Services group is comprised of five units, three that support the university by providing essential services to the campus community— Print Services, Transportation Services, and the Vivian Olum Child Development Center—and two that provide administrative support to departments within and outside of the VPFA portfolio—Finance and Administration Shared Services and VPFA IT Services.
