Stigma Research and Action is an open access journal that provides a multi-disciplinary, international forum for the presentation of scholarly research pertaining to prejudice and discrimination that is caused by health conditions, disabilities, or membership in marginalized social or cultural groups. Dear Colleagues.....We regret to inform you that we have been unable to solidify funding for the upcoming year of Stigma Research and Action.  Consequently, we will have to take a hiatus from publishing for the time being.  Our sincere hope is that we can re-group and re-establish. However, in the mean time, we would encourage you to submit your papers to other journals.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  We are committed to having a specialized journal in this area, but will have to examine business models that are revenue generating and will explore the possibility of linking up with publishing houses to provide more consistent administrative support.Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or ideas.Yours sincerely,Heather Stuart, Editor-in ChiefandAmir TalExecutive EditorStigma Research and Action
