Common QuestionsDOES ELECTROLysis REALLY WORK?Absolutely. Proper insertions from a skilled technician guarantees permanency. It is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. Even if you have had electrolysis done in the past and found it was not effective, consider trying a different technician and newer equipment. When done properly electrolysis shows immediate results.WHAT ABOUT LASER?Whenever you are working on a larger area consider starting with laser hair removal. Although it is not FDA approved for permanency it can knocking off a ton of work quickly. This could save you time and money. Even thinning hairs out with laser before coming to an electrologist’s clinic is helpful. Good candidates for laser include: someone with full facial hair (this means hair all over their chin, neck, sides of face and upper/lower lip), leg hair, an individuals entire back or chest and or someone’s entire genital area. Once laser has done all it can for you finish the job with an electrologist. Call me if you have questions about this process and to learn who I recommend. Shaving, Plucking, And Waxing...Razor burn is painful. Plucking or waxing facial hair can sometimes promote more hair growth. When hairs are forcibly removed, blood is brought to the surface of your skin. This can make hormonal hairs healthier; aiding them to grow deeper into your skin with bigger bulbs. Electrolysis works by treating the bulbs with electrical current before removing the hair. When this is done properly, during the hair’s growth period, it will let go, sliding out of the follicle without being plucked.HOW DO I GET STARTED?If you have decided you would like to work with Honey Bee Electrolysis consider sending an email explaining some details about the hair you would like to have permanently remove. Also please share your availability to see when you could come to the clinic. Our first visit is a detailed consultation and a 15 minute treatment. We spent 30 to 45 minutes together making sure you know everything you need to know about electrolysis. The cost is 40 dollars due at the end of service.How frequent will i come?The average hair growth cycle is ten weeks long. Each hair is on its own schedule within those ten weeks. In order to make sure every hair in the affected area has been treated at least once, it is best to be in touch with your electrologist for ten weeks before seeing any large permanent results. After this ten week mark it is easier to see what effect the treatments have had on your hairs. All hairs require a different number of treatments. Thinner hair would need less treatment than a thicker hair. Some clients only need to come once during a cycle (once every 10 weeks) while others might need to come weekly or by weekly until the growth is under control. Before And After Care…Yes. It is best to come to the clinic with clean and healthy skin. Before your treatment, any makeup, creams, and perfumes should be removed. A lot of people have sensitivities to perfumes so please refrains from using perfume on days you’ll be visiting. After your treatment it is important to continue to keep your skin clean and healthy so it can properly recover from electrolysis.
