Too many people say we must choose between good jobs and a clean environment. But this is a false choice.
We can create good jobs across the country by making renewable energy, using energy more efficiently, decarbonizing manufacturing, and building more public transit. We can protect workers and the environment by developing safer alternatives to dangerous or toxic products. And we can have clean air, clean water and a safe environment for us and our children.
It’s time to work together to build a green economy which provides for all people and protects the environment.

Unifor and Blue Green Canada advocate for working people and the environment because we know they go hand in hand.
We co-produced this video to share the stories of courage, hope, and the challenges for workers, their families, and communities, as their workplace transitions to electric vehicle (EV) production.
The first full changeover from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to EV manufacturing is happening right now in Ingersoll, Ontario at the GM – CAMI Plant. Production of the new BrightDrop vans begins in December.
