The Irish horticulture, landscape and sportsturf industry has withstood many shocks since it last came together at the Garden Landscape and Amenity Sportsturf (GLAS) trade show in 2019. Between Covid-19, Brexit, the Ukraine crisis and the banning of commercial peat harvesting, these disruptive events have created immense challenges for members of the sector, while also providing opportunities for growth.

GLAS – the premiere Irish Garden Landscape and Amenity Sportsturf trade show – returned on July 21st in the National Basketball Arena in Dublin after a three year hiatus.

Under the theme ‘Your industry. Your event.’ the show is an invaluable focal point in terms of sales, networking and learning opportunities.

Key topics this year included assuring sustainable practice, the future of growing media, tackling the millennial & Gen Z gardener, the changing face of retail and ecommerce, green city initiatives, smart technology, career development, upskilling and more.
