Alameda Landing Transportation

FERRY

Alameda Landing is conveniently located to two water ferry terminals: the Main Street Terminal provides ferries to the San Francisco Ferry Building, Pier 41 and South San Francisco 7 days a week. There is also seasonal service to Angel Island and game day service to AT&T Park. The recently opened Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal currently offers week-day/peak commute hour service ONLY to San Francisco. There are plans for an expansion of services in the near future.

BICYCLES

Alameda Landing is a bike-friendly community with extensive bicycle lanes and secure bike lockers located throughout the shopping center. The lockers contain instructions for operation or you can access this information @:BikeLink.org.

There is also a bike repair station on Fifth Street: Bike-Repair Station Map

The bike lockers adjacent to the Target store are not operated or maintained by the West Alameda TDMA or BikeLink and the use of these lockers is not advised.

A map with locations of all Alameda Landing sponsored bike lockers is available at: BikeWalkAlameda.org, which also offers all the information a bicycle enthusiast – or someone looking for a leisurely ride – needs when planning a bicycling trip in Alameda.

BikeLink Lockers are also available at the Alameda Main Street Ferry Terminal, a brief ride away from Alameda Landing and at the Seaplane Lagoon ferry terminal.

BUS

There are two AC Transit lines with stops near Alameda Landing.

To Rockridge BART, College of Alameda, and Fruitvale BART.

AC Transit TransBay service (“O”) is available on Webster (@ RAMP), a short walk away to/from Alameda Landing.

CARPOOLING

The Bay Area’s 511 RideMatch Service helps commuters find carpools, vanpools, or bicycle partners. Participants can quickly create an online profile and find fellow commuters with similar travel routes who are looking to ride share.

GUARANTEED RIDE HOME (GRH)

The FREE Alameda County Ride Home Program guarantees employees who’ve taken mass-transit to work a direct-return trip home in case of personal emergency, unscheduled overtime, or missed rideshare. All permanent full-time and part-time workers employed within Alameda County and who live within 100 miles of their worksite are eligible. Participants do not have to live in Alameda County.

Once a company registers, employees who commute by mass-transit can also register and use the program. Registration for employers is fast and easy – either online or by downloading a PDF form. After the company and the employee register, the employee will receive a packet with instructions on how to use the program.
