Louange

If Gio Ponti were to design a candlestick today, what would it look like? This question was what motivated the designer Damian O’Sullivan, his answer : The Louange candlestick.

The Louange candlestick conveys a quiet majesty with its slender lines that flow from one shape to another in a controlled formation of perfect harmony. Neither wholly organic nor fully geometric, the chosen balance is refined and stately.

Besides its quiet majesty there also lies ingenuity, with the design of the golden keystone (clef de voûte), which when removed, allows for the easy placement and removal of the candles. Not only does this keystone have a functional quality it also serves as an aesthetic marker. Decoration and function going hand in hand.

The main body of the candlestick is made from solid machined anodized aluminium while the keystone is made from machined brass. The result is an elegant sculptural form that embodies a quiet confidence.

The Louange candlestick exists as a double and a single version.

Delvaux

Designed in homage to one of Belgium’s greatest artists, the Magritte bag for Delvaux playfully marries the surreal with the practical, with its handles shaped like a bowler hat.

Ema B

The six enamelled nesting bowls form a colourful concentric tableau of inwardly radiating circles, that can be used as one sees fit. The design of these geometric bowls is deceptively simple and may at first sight even seem somewhat mundane. Closer inspection will unveil the intricate interplay between the straight and angled forms, which at once reveal and conceal the six different colours and lets the enamel do all the talking.

Rosenthal

Damian O’Sullivan is not Belgian, however, living in Brussels must have left its mark on this design, as one can clearly recognize the surreal wink to one of its most famous painters.

Is it a hat, is it a cup? Delightfully deceptive, the Cappello cup and saucer are both at once. In use it’s a cup and at rest, the reversed cup keeps it clean till your next hot beverage.

Let’s fill this cup literally and figuratively to the brim!

Lien d'Hermès

Staying close to its equestrian heritage, Lien d’Hermès is an exercise bridging utility with beauty, where the tough narrow strips of leather, usually used to equip the horse, have been employed in homeware. Designed in collaboration with Guillaume Delvigne and Studio Hermès, Lien d’Hermès represents the best in savoir-faire of the Hermès leather ateliers. Lien d’Hermès was launched at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2017

Equilibre d'Hermès

Designed in collaboration with Gregoire de la Forret, Guillaume Delvigne and the in-house design team of Hermès, Equilibre d’Hermès represents the best in savoir-faire of the Hermès leather ateliers. Equilibre d’Hermès was launched at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2016 and was later premiered in New York in a choreographed show by the acclaimed avant-garde theatre director Robert Wilson.

Philips/Alessi

The desire to redress the balance between acoustics and aesthetics was at the heart of this project. Why should a speaker always be housed in a black wooden box? Two porcelain speakers and a CD player in a noble material, porcelain, and hi-fidelity would never be the same again.Using the know-how of both companies to creatively collaborate and literally propose out-of-the-box designs in this noble material resulted in a surprising series of very domestic designs.

Rallye 24

This range of tableware takes its queue from the enigmatic heyday of 1930's racing cars. As a result the designs are modern and bold, expressing the irreverent optimism of the era. The geometry, round and oval, like the banked flanks of the old race tracks. The colours reflect the country racing stables: british racing green, ferrari red, german silver and the french blue.

A media player that uses all the available technologies to make for the most unobtrusive home device : storing, sharing and playing music, photos and films in the most uncluttered cable-free solution. The design of the player is airy, light and enigmatic. A touch of magic.

Stanley, is the perfect travel companion for your Hermès ties, neatly securing three ties in a leather upholstered plywood frame. The taut tensile-structure ensures the necessary rigidity to protect the ties from creasing.

Royal Delft

The desire to inject a new lease of life into the age-old Delftware manufactory through design, lay at the heart of this project. Delftware at the crossroads between contemporary tableware and cultural relevqnce/significance, straddling beauty, form and avoiding the cliché. Delftware brought back into the 21st century,no mean feat.

Carnets d'Équateur

Contributing to this iconic range of signature Robert Dallet tableware for Hermès,lay in the form designs of some of the key elements, including the teapot, soup terrine, creamer, cups and vase.

Voyage en Ikat

An Hermès dinner service at the crossroads between East and West, between the age old Ikat textiles emanating from the Orient and the French traditional fine dining porcelain. The collection expresses itself through more than twenty hues centred on three different colours – emerald, sapphire and ruby and is crowned with 24-carat matte gold accented elements.

Such revolutionary technology deserved revolutionary design and that’s what we delivered.

Solar Lampion

The Solar Lampion is a self-initiated project and one of the first of its kind to create a mobile and aesthetically pleasing lamp using solar cells. The lampion is composed of an exoskeleton that holds 30 solar cells in place on the outside and the light on the inside. The Solar Lampion has been awarded a Red Dot concept award and been exhibited worldwide at the MoMA (USA), Espace Electra (F),V&A (UK) and the Boijmans van Beuningen (NL).

Odyssée

The Odyssée vase for Hermès represents the chaine-d’ancre as a three dimensional extrusion. Made in terra-cotta and topped off with luscious colours and a silver trimming, lucky flowers!
