23 years ago I embarked on what would come to be one of the most rewarding and important projects that would shape my life for good. While experiencing the journey of Optime, I have been inspired by noble people that are willing to share their knowledge, lead by example, coach with integrity, and, most importantly, impact the community they serve by positively listening and taking action.

In 2013, Maria founded the Optime One Cause Social Responsibility Program to give back to the community and motivate others in the industry to do so as well. Through Optime One Cause, her team spreads optimism with fundraising activities that promote healthy and active lifestyles, which has raised over $100,000 for multiple charities. Their biggest event is the Optime 5K Run, which has benefitted multiple charities including the Make-a-Wish foundation, Young at Art Museum, and United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida.
Prior to founding Optime, Maria served as 3Com’s Channel Sales Manager, where she surpassed sales quota by more than 200%. Before 3Com, she was Novell’s first Executive Account Manager in Latin America and was recognized for closing the region’s biggest multi million MLA in 1994. Earlier in her career, she was IT Communications Co-leader and Analyst for the third largest oil industry in the world, Lagoven, where she led the Info-Centro initiative, which communicated to over 14,000 employees.Maria holds a degree

She founded Rising Starz Music and Performance Academy in 2007 to unlock the confidence in students through the arts.Sought-after for her strong technical training in Performance, Musical Theatre, Pop and Classical music, this mother of two and active member of her community has directed her students in over 100 performance showcases and musical productions. This entrepreneur is an Artist Developer, Vocal and Performance Coach, Music Therapist, and Program Director. Valentin helps students open doors of opportunity by creating unique experiences for them that you won’t find anywhere else. Pat’s enthusiasm for her work, which expands 30 years as a leader at UCO has made her an enterprising role model in the community with an impressive history of team building, staff training and staff development. Her ability to motivate and inspire staff along with her vast program knowledge has contributed to enhancing the lives of thousands adults and children with developmental disabilities in the South Florida community. Pat has a track record of efficiency, establishing partnerships, growing organizational visibility and driving advocacy.
