IT'S OUR 75th ANNIVERSARY!
Welcome to the Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim Kelowna, the largest and longest running open water swim event in Canada! It is time to start planning to take part in the Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim on July 15th, 2023! 2023 will mark the 75th edition of an event that has always offered a challenge and a standard for young and old, newly minted swimmers and seasoned racers.
Since its beginning in 1949, the Interior Savings Across the Lake Swim in Kelowna, BC has always been more a demonstration of swimming ability than a race. Each summer, swimmers of all ages and abilities challenge themselves to swim 2.1 kilometres across Okanagan Lake, to test what they have learned and to master the distance.

Located in Swim Bay in historic Peachland, BC. Swim 7km around the infamous Rattlesnake Island. Unfortunately, the 3.1km distance is cancelled for 2022.

A very scaled down version of the Kelowna swim along the shore of Okanagan Lake for kids aged 5-12. Super fun, super safe and it's FREE!

DROWN PROOFING OUR KIDS
The YMCA Okanagan Swims Program was created in 2012 to help drown-proof our kids. Solely funded by the Across the Lake Swim Society, we donate funds from our event to run the program. Each year we send EVERY 3rd grader in School District #23 (from Peachland to Lake Country) for FREE swimming lessons to teach them lifesaving water safety skills. This is over 1400 children each year! Your registration fees fund this rewarding program.
