In the Danube region we are free. All alone we determine the pace, the way and the destination. And everything in between. How nice it is when we even have company: from the mossy-fresh scent of the Danube, on whose banks we are moving, from its quiet murmur and gentle lapping.

Of impressive sights that greet us from afar and invite us to make a stop. Of unforgettable encounters with people who live and work in the Danube region and give the Danube a face, a voice.

And of course of the nature that shows itself along the Danube in Upper Austria and is constantly changing. No two stretches are alike. Only the river, a constant driving force, remains at our side.

And gradually we get into flow with the Danube - while cycling along the Danube Cycle Path or hiking along the Donausteig Hiking Path -, let ourselves be driven by it, discover magical things along its banks. Interreg projects

The Danube flows through 10 countries from its origin to its mouth.
The common cultural area holds potential for transnational projects and coordinated activities within the framework of EU funding programs such as Interreg. Over the years we have already participated in several Interreg projects. Currently the project Transdanube Travel Stories (2020-2022) is running.
