Kentucky

Over a two year period, 12 Signature HealthCARE nursing homes became Creative Communities of Care. What does that mean? They collaborated with regional and national artists on the TimeSlips team to draw on and celebrate the creative strengths of elders, staff, and volunteers. Together they reimagine the story of Peter Pan and integrated the exploration into daily activities. The project culminated with the performance of an original play. Our CCC training is inspiring aging services providers of all shapes and sizes all across the United States!

TimeSlips Board board members. As we look to the end of 2021, TimeSlips is saying goodbye to two valued board members as their terms expire, and welcoming three new board members to the TimeSlips community. We are also saying farewell to Carol Varney, who has served as TimeSlips executive director for nearly two years. Kate Britton, TimeSlips former Operations Director, will be coming back part-time as our Managing Director, ensuring a smooth leadership transition.

Detroit Tele-Stories: Meet the Artists!

TimeSlips is excited to announce its Detroit Tele-Stories project, generously funded by the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation. As a part of the first Detroit Tele-Stories project, TimeSlips has partnered with the Detroit-based ensemble theater company A Host of People and the Hannan Center to pair local artists with under-connected elders (70 in total) to facilitate creative conversations and activities with them by phone.
