It seems that we are on our way out of the COVID 19 lockdowns and can begin to use the club more often. Unfortunately, many people have suffered financially in the last few months will continue to struggle as we progress through 2020.So, in an effort to assist our members over the next 12 months, the Committee of Northern Archers has decided to reduce every current (Full) members fee to just $9 for the year.This will only apply to current members renewing and will come into effect on JULY 1st, 2020, and last until JUNE 30th, 2021.Unfortunately, we can t change the fees being demanded from Archery Australia or Archery NSW, so these fees will still have to be paid as part of your annual fee. This Table has all the rates for members of different ages family groups please read this carefully as it shows the Current Rates versus the NEW rate. This discount already takes into account the 3-month extension given by ANSW AA.We will also be running our Club league EVERY WEEKEND until the end of the year. The league will be run on an alternate cycle of Saturday one week then Sunday the next week. It will beginthis upcoming SUNDAY. One long-distance on the main range and a short distance on the Beginners range. This means we must limit the number of Archers shooting each round to 16 shooting long-range only 6 shooting beginners distance. Our recorder will list the shoots for 1 month at a time and limit the entry numbers, so be quick to enter as it will close when we reach the entry limit.Also, please DO NOT ENTER A ROUND if you are unsure that you can make it on that day!!!We cannot afford to have people enter then not show because you ll be cutting other members out of the comp. If you cannot make it to a shoot you have entered please send an email to the secretary to inform him so we can allow someone else to enter. It s just Good manners.Finally, all the regular shooting rules the COVID SAFE rules are still in place we ask you to be extra vigilant when attending the club.We hope this helps.Hope to see you all there soon.Tyrone DigbyPRESIDENTNorthern Archers Of Sydney. With the relaxation of COVID 19 restrictions, we will be reopening the club for free shooting on June 1, 2020. This is on the provision that the Federal and State Governments increase the attendance at facilities to 50 people.We have remained closed for a few extra weeks to ensure that the most dangerous wave of the virus has been controlled. With the opening of the club, we will require all members to follow the guidelines outlined previously to the clubs closure.Just remember the main rules when at the club shooting: Either Throw your target face out (we can afford it) or take it home with you for further use. Be considerate of every other member do not risk their health, no matter what you think about the current situation. IF YOU SUSPECT YOURSELF OF BEING COMPROMISED BY THE VIRUS IN ANY WAY, STAY HOME!!!!!Each and every member is responsible for their own conduct at the range. Socializing is fine but please maintain your social distancing.We will not be running any Competitions, Classes, or Come Try s for quite a while, but we are looking at ways to continue with the club league (You ll be notified when we get it sorted).As a general guide (but not a rule) we suggest that Tuesday Thursday become Older Members Days. This allows members of the higher risk category (Over 50) to attend the range with a lower chance of Infection. Of course, Over 50 s can attend any day of the week but if you are worried about contracting the virus, these are the days to attend.Let s hope that things can go back to normal as soon as possible but until then we ll plod along as best, we can. If you would like to do a midweek course please email the secretary atnorthernarchersofsyd@gmail.com For beginners, seasoned Archers, juniors, and seniors alike, the Club conducts two progressive competitions per year with organised competitive rounds on a weekly basis where we all have the chance to compete in a relaxed club atmosphere and on a level footing.It is a handicap event so everyone has the chance of winning - in fact the novice Archer has a greater chance of taking out the individual shoots because, arguably, the rating system is weighted in their favour.Please go to the Club League page for more details. It is the responsibility of all range users to follow the club s policies with regard to use of the range. These reminders below include, but are not limited to the following; All members MUST sign-in before undertaking ANY activity at the club. The Red Flag must remain up at all times. All members MUST be aware of the Club Range Safety Policy . No member is to shoot further than 20m from the butts in the beginners area. 90-meter practice shooting can only be done in Lane 1Duty Officer role - Members must do there utmost to fulfill their allocated dates for Duty Officer responsibilities per the roster. This is an integral part of the Club s safety policy and requirement of membership per the conditions you agreed to when joining the club.The roster is attached as a PDF document on the Safety@Northern webpage along with a roles and responsibilities description.
