The Neptune High School spring musical production of "RENT" will be on April 29, 30, and May 1, 2021 in the PAC. All tickets must be reserved in advance to ensure safety protocols. Tickets are $8.00 ($3.00 for students); payment will be collected at the ticket booth when you arrive and assigned seating will be provided. SEL Day is an opportunity to collectively spread the word about the importance and impact of SEL. March 19, 2021Dear Parents/Guardians,Please be advised that the Board of Education has approved a revised district calendar that includes “snow day give-back” days on April 1, 2021 and May 28, 2021. Schools will be closed to staff and students on those two dates. Each year, the district calendar includes three snow day make-up days. If those days are not used, the calendar is revised to remove them. We utilized one snow day during the 2021-2021 school year and therefore will remove the two extra make-up days.Sincerely,Dr. Crader Dear Parents/Guardians,We are just days away from our students attending a five-day in-person program and are very much looking forward to that week. The five day program, following the current abbreviated day schedule, will begin for our pre-k and elementary students on Monday, March 15th and for our middle and high school students on Monday, April 12th.Just as a reminder, unless there are extenuating circumstances, students will be placed in either the five-day program or the all-remote program. Parents should plan for their children to finish the school year with their selected instructional option. We want our students to attend school in-person when at all possible. We believe our schools are safe and healthy environments for our staff and students. We also understand that parents may have very personal reasons for selecting an all-remote instructional format rather than an in-person option. For those students who commit to attending school in person, please note that they do not have the option to occasionally stay home and log on to their classes as if they were in the remote track. Students who are sick should stay home but those who are well should attend in person each day. Students who stay home will be marked absent. It is important that our teachers know who to expect in person each day so that they can plan lessons accordingly. It is also essential for safety and security reasons that we track student attendance. We have been very flexible and accommodating of our students and families throughout the pandemic and will continue supporting our students as they transition to a five-day program. It is important that we work together to regain a sense of normalcy and the expectation of school attendance. School is important; school matters. Our staff members understand that students have been through a very challenging year and may need additional emotional support. Staff members are already working hard to provide a healthy and safe classroom environment. Social-emotional supports are in place.Again, we are excited to welcome our students back to our five-day program and will continue to aim for full days as soon as possible.
