The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the heart of Ontario's power system. The IESO delivers key services across the electricity sector including: managing the power system in real-time, planning for the province's future energy needs, enabling conservation and designing a more efficient electricity marketplace to support sector evolution. The IESO has implemented controls to ensure the continued reliable operation of the grid and minimize risks to its employees and stakeholders. Currently, most non-essential IESO staff are working from home, and increased hygiene and physical distancing measures are in place to protect those employees working onsite. The IESO is not accepting visitors at our three facilities, andin-person engagement and meetings are no longer being scheduled. Where possible, meetings and events including engagement activities are being moved to conference calls or webinars.
