The album was originally composed as a soundtrack to a Butoh dance piece by choreographer / dancer Frauke. Butoh being a minimalistic performance dance created in Japan in 1959. The dance piece is an ode to the innate intelligence of nature dedicated to its 5 elements (air, earth, water, fire, and void), mixing largely electronics with pop, ambient, modern classical, post-rock and experimental music elements . The release comprises the complete recording of Burroughs reading live in Liverpool in 1982, plus performances by Gysin of a selection of his poems, as well as home recordings made by the pair in Paris in 1970. All recordings present on this release are taken from original tapes in the British Library collection. Pyrrhula was originally released on Cold Spring in 2008 and was one of the label s most popular albums. This 2021 edition has been restored from the original masters, and further refined for the vinyl format. Partly based on an old Swedish folktale, Pyrrhula ( Doomlord ) is a pitch black journey into utter darkness. You get the previously released eight black ambient / doom / droneworks on this vinyl. With Refrigerator , the band have taken a deep dive into experimentation with analog synthesizers and drum machines. Written largely during the Covid-19 lockdown the result is nine songs. About Bikini Death Race In 2016, a boy in a panda mask and a girl in a cat mask wrote and recorded Party Animals . The decision comes after it received a big backlash over the planned policy change we reported about a few days ago. The backlash comes, surprise, from the porn content publishers on its platform.
